Otro año más, y ya son trece, los nombres de las casi 3.000 víctimas de los atentados terroristas del 11 de septiembre de 2001 volvieron a escucharse hoy en el sur de Nueva York, donde sus familiares y seres queridos se congregaron en el Memorial del 11S "para no olvidar jamás".
Con el sonido de las gaitas y la llegada de la bandera de Estados Unidos, arrancó una emotiva ceremonia en la que la soprano Alaysha Fox se encargó de interpretar el himno nacional antes de guardarse un primer minuto de silencio a las 08.46 hora local, momento exacto en que se estrelló el primer avión contra la Torre Norte.
Inmediatamente después y reunidos en parejas, los familiares de las víctimas procedieron a la lectura de los nombres de las 2.983 personas que perdieron la vida en los atentados del 11S, en Nueva York, Washington y Pensilvania, y los de los fallecidos en el primer ataque contra las Torres Gemelas en 1993.
